The Ghana Voice 18-02-2026

The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Niiquaye Kotey, has commended staff of the Authority’s 24-hour service centre in Adenta after witnessing operations during a late-night working visit.

Mr. Kotey said the visit allowed him to observe the effectiveness of the Authority’s round-the-clock service delivery model, stressing that implementing efficiency policies must be matched with practical results.

During the inspection, the DVLA CEO personally reviewed operational records with staff and expressed satisfaction with the level of productivity recorded within a single shift. According to him, officers processed eight vehicle registrations, seven new driver’s licence applications, five licence renewals, and two foreign licence conversions.

He noted that the figures demonstrate the Authority’s commitment to improving accessibility and convenience in public service delivery.

Mr. Kotey emphasized that the 24-hour service initiative forms part of broader efforts to modernise operations and ensure citizens can access essential services at any time, particularly those who may not be able to visit DVLA offices during traditional working hours.

He further praised staff dedication and encouraged them to maintain high service standards to sustain public confidence in the Authority’s operations.
