“Farm Revolution! Land & Farm Bank Opens, Irrigation Gets Mega Boost”
The Ghana Voice 11-09-2025The government has launched a Land and Farm Bank to address land acquisition challenges and encourage youth in farming.
President Mahama announced the move at his media encounter, describing it as a “game-changer” for agricultural modernization.
The bank will register, secure, and allocate farmland to individuals and cooperatives while supporting credit access.
He also outlined irrigation expansion projects aimed at boosting year-round farming and reducing post-harvest losses.
“Ghana must feed itself and export competitively,” the President said, adding that youth-focused agro-value chain programs will create jobs and increase food security.
