“200 Cases, No Sacred Cows! Mahama’s ORAL Hunt Targets Looters”

The Ghana Voice 11-09-2025

President Mahama has reassured Ghanaians of his government’s commitment to fight corruption, revealing that over 200 cases are under investigation.

Speaking on his government’s Operation Recover and Asset Loot (ORAL) agenda, the President cited high-profile cases including the Adu Boahen scandal, the SkyTrain deal, National Service Authority fraud, Akonta Mining, Buffer Stock irregularities, and the National Cathedral forensic audit.

“We will not protect anyone. Investigations are ongoing, and prosecutions will follow,” he assured.

The President added that the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) and the Special Prosecutor are leading aggressive asset recovery measures.

Critics, however, argue that some cases have stalled, fueling concerns about selective justice.
